Unexpected incident delayed 'Chandu Champion' poster reveal earlier
The poster reveal was initially slated for Tuesday. However, it was postponed due to an unforeseen incident involving Aaryan's pet dog, Katori. Aaryan shared a video on Instagram showing Katori tearing down the film's poster, which led to a delay. "Aaj se promotion ka shubharambh hona tha lekin Katori ne poster hi phaad dia. Ab kal hi ayega poster (Planned to kick off the promotions today, but Katori turned around everything)," wrote Aaryan.
'Chandu Champion' is based on this Paralympic medalist's life
Directed by Kabir Khan, Chandu Champion is a biographical sports drama based on the real-life story of India's first Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar. Petkar won an individual gold medal in the 1972 Summer Paralympics in Heidelberg, Germany. Aaryan aside, the film also features Bhuvan Arora (Farzi), Pallak Lalwani (Sinam), and Adonis Kapsalis (The Crown). The film will be released theatrically on June 14.
A glimpse into Aaryan's preparation
To prepare for his role as Chandu, the lead actor reportedly underwent an intense transformation and focused on learning the Marathi dialect for 14 months with the help of a language coach. The first look from the movie was unveiled last year in August where Aaryan was seen donning a blazer with short hair and an intense expression with injury marks on his face. Meanwhile, Aaryan is currently busy filming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
