Kartik Aaryan adjudged Best Entertainer at Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards
'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' brought Kartik Aaryan to the fore and how. Not only his fan following multiplied folds, he is also getting offers from big banners. And now, Kartik has another reason to rejoice as Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards committee has decided to honor him with the Best Entertainer trophy.
'SKTKS' emerged his maiden Rs. 100 crore grosser
While he had already built a fan base with his act in the 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' series, 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' established him as a bankable mass hero. Defying all odds, the Luv Ranjan directorial went on to enter the coveted Rs. 100 crore club. Apart from Kartik, 'SKTKS' also starred Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh.
Other recipients of the prestigious award
Besides Kartik, Anushka Sharma (Path-Breaking Producer) along with 'Padmaavat' actors Ranveer Singh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Shahid Kapoor are also being honored. Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards are not to be confused with Dadasaheb Phalke award given by the central government as part of National Film Awards.
