Padmavati: Karni Sena demands complete ban on the film
Earlier, the censor board had asked the makers of Padmavati to modify the movie a bit. But, despite the modifications being made in the controversial film including renaming it to 'Padmavat', the Karni Sena on Friday raised a demand for a complete ban on the film. The Sena chief further said that Bhansali should forget about releasing the film. Here are the details.
More troubles await Padmavati, here's what Sena Chief says
The Sena chief now threatens that all efforts of Bhansali and CBFC will go down the drain as they would not allow the screening of Padmavati anywhere in India or abroad. "We are still adamant on our demand. We don't want any changes in the said song, however, we demand a complete ban on the same," he said.
CBFC too had issued a green signal but in vain
On December 30, the Central Board of Film Certification, headed by Prasoon Joshi, had issued a U/A certificate to the movie. The board suggested that the film's name be changed to 'Padmavat', and recommended some cuts. It had also clarified that the U/A certificate would be issued to the film only if the modifications are carried out and the final material is submitted.
