Actress Karishma Tanna slapped with a legal notice
A Delhi'>New Delhi based Event Manager, Manas Katyal, has accused Karishma Tanna of cheating, threatening and blackmailing him; he has slapped her with a legal notice. Manas has alleged that Karishma had agreed to perform at an event but changed her mind at the last minute, causing him a loss of Rs. 10 lakh. Here's more.
Manas wants Karishma to compensate for his loss
Speaking to a leading daily, Manas said that the event was to be held in Haldwani but Karishma changed her mind after she reached Delhi. "She threatened our driver with a false case of harassment if he didn't turn the car around," he said. He also demanded a sum of Rs. 10 lakh from the actress as compensation.
Karishma's side of the story
Refuting the allegations leveled against her, Karishma said that Manas had misinformed her about the location. "I was told the show was in Moradabad but when we reached there, we found out that it was actually in Haldwani, which is another few hours from there. I had told Manas at the start that I have a back issue and can't travel much."
