Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set for her OTT debut
We don't know if digital media can replace the magic of big screens but it surely is here to stay. And, Kareena Kapoor Khan has become the latest Bollywood star to finalize her OTT debut. She will soon star in a thriller film by Netflix. Reports about the project were abuzz for a while and now they have been confirmed by the streaming service.
What do we know of the project?
Reports about Sujoy Ghosh collaborating with Kapoor Khan in a crime mystery thriller have been doing the rounds for a while now. However, it was being speculated that Bebo will mark her return to the silver screen via the project after the birth of her second child, Jeh. As per Netflix's announcement, the film will co-star Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma.
Untitled film based on 'The Devotion of Suspect X'
In the clip posted by Netflix, we can see Ghosh and the three actors at a table-read. The video ends with Kapoor Khan going meta with the camera as the words: "Based on The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino" flash on the screen. The mere half-a-minute-long clip also reveals, like earlier reports had suggested, that the filming will begin soon.
