Kareena Kapoor might join Akshay-Priyadarshan's horror-comedy: Report
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is reportedly set to collaborate with Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures on a new film. The project will be directed by his frequent collaborator Priyadarshan, who is returning to Hindi cinema after a significant hiatus. The film is likely to be a horror-comedy, a genre that Kumar has been keen on exploring since Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007).
Kareena Kapoor is being considered for the female lead role
The makers are reportedly in talks with Kareena Kapoor Khan to star opposite Kumar in this upcoming film, reported Times Now on Saturday. This will not be their first on-screen pairing; they have previously worked together on several successful films such as Aitraaz, Ajnabee, Good Newwz, and Rowdy Rathore (Kapoor Khan had a cameo). Meanwhile, Kapoor Khan recently collaborated with Ekta on The Buckingham Murders (2024), directed by Hansal Mehta.

As of now, there has been no official announcement from Balaji Motion Pictures or Kumar about this new project. However, fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation following Kumar's recent Instagram post hinting at a surprise. The post featured a demonic figure with the caption "What could be better than a day like today to hint at something special coming your way? The reveal is set for my birthday. Stay tuned!"
