Actor-celebrity karate coach Shihan Hussaini diagnosed with leukemia
What's the story
Shihan Hussaini, the famous karate expert and actor, has been diagnosed with leukemia, a form of cancer that affects blood-forming tissues.
The shocking diagnosis has left his fans and followers distressed.
Hussaini, who has trained actors like Pawan Kalyan and Vijay for their respective films, opened up about his health to Galatta Tamil.
He revealed that he came to know about his diagnosis only a week ago.
Treatment
Hussaini expressed hope despite health issues
When asked about his medical care and chances of recovery, Hussaini replied, "What treatment... I need to be given continuous blood transfusion but after a point, my body will reject it."
However, he stays hopeful.
"Nothing can deter my determination, I have aplastic anemia which is beyond cancer. But I will tell you one thing, for a coward every day is death, but for a warrior, death is only once," he said.
Aspirations
Hussaini's ultimate dream and requests to Vijay and Kalyan
He added, "I will only be alive for a few more days. When I found out that I had cancer, all my friends called me and asked me for crowdfunding. I told them that I couldn't do that."
"I have decided to sell the place where I teach karate."
"Pawan Kalyan came here and learned karate, so he should buy this place. Similarly, I have a request to Vijay. He should create an archer for every household in Tamil Nadu."
