Did Karan Johar really host the drug party? He reveals
A few weeks back, one of Karan Johar's starry bashes, which was attended by Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Vicky Kaushal etc., had become a raging topic, with SAD MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa alleging that these celebs were in a "drugged state." Dismissing the accusations, Karan clarified that it was a "family, social gathering" where the "achieving members of industry" were having a good time.
The powder was apparently a shadow of light, says Karan
Rubbishing claims that there was powder on the floor, the director said "Who does these kinds of things? We are all very committed professionals. This is absolutely ridiculous." The "powder," was "apparently a shadow of light," Karan says, referring to Vicky Kaushal's photo. He further said that Vicky was recovering from dengue that time, and sipping hot lemon water during the entire party.
I took that video with all the earnestness, clarifies KJo
He also questioned the need to clarify "a casual get-together of good friends who had really good conversational time." "In my house, there were achieving members of the industry who were having an easy night out after a hard week. I took that video with all the earnestness. Would I be putting it out if there was anything happening at all," Karan asked.
"I don't react very well to these baseless accusations"
When quizzed about what took him so long to react to the video, KJo stated that he was wondering whether to address the accusations at all. "I don't react very well to these baseless accusations," he said. However, KJo assured that next time such baseless allegations surface, he will be taking a legal route. "You cannot mar our solid, sincere reputations," he emphasized.
"I raise my voice against drug abuse by these stars"
For the uninitiated, KJo's "casual get-together" made its way to headlines after Sirsa re-shared a video from the party. According to him, the video showed the celebrities to be stoned, which gave a glimpse of #UDTABollywood culture of the industry. "Watch how the mighty of Bollywood proudly flaunt their drugged state!! I raise my voice against #DrugAbuse by these stars," he had tweeted.

Share the dope test report on Twitter, demanded Sirsa
Sirsa received backlash from few netizens, and in response, he had demanded a dope test from these celebrities and requested them to share the report on Twitter. In a series of tweets against a Twitter user, Sirsa called out the celebrities for lecturing audience on every issue, so now "They are answerable to every Indian for their drug-affected stoned look as visible in video."
