KJo becomes first Indian-filmmaker to get 'waxed' at Madame Tussauds
Bollywood's renowned filmmaker-cum-producer Karan Johar, is now a proud new member of the prestigious Madame Tussauds museum. He, accompanied by his mother Hiroo Johar, unveiled his wax statue this morning in the Singapore branch of the organization. The Kesari producer becomes the first Indian filmmaker to have a wax statue at Madame Tussauds. Interestingly, the statue captured KJo's obsession with selfies real well.
Karan's statue has been modeled on his obsession with selfies
The wax statue, dressed in black ensemble paired up with black velvet printed jacket, has been modeled on Karan's trademark style of taking selfies. The backdrop of the statue has the red-wall of Koffee With Karan, where all his celeb guests keep their signed cups.
Karan expresses his happiness on Instagram
'Visited Madam Tussauds with my father when I was eight'
KJo is over the moon happy, and said his childhood dream has finally come true. "I remember visiting the Madam Tussauds museum with my father when I was all of eight years old. It feels like a childhood dream has been realized. Today, my statue will be a part of this prestigious museum and I am vastly excited and honored," he added.
It's the greatest gift for my babies, says Karan
Furthermore, Karan stated that his wax statue will be the greatest gift to his kids, Roohi and Yash. "Just the fact that I can bring my babies one day to this museum and they can see their father standing tall amongst so many illustrious and luminous personalities is the most emotional feeling for me. Being waxed is an altogether different high," the filmmaker stated.
For now, Karan is looking forward to 'Kalank' release
