Karan Johar's 'The Tribe' arriving on Prime Video this October!
Earlier this year, Karan Johar announced The Tribe—an upcoming series on Amazon Prime Video produced by his company, Dharmatic Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The show follows a group of Indian influencers striving for global fame in Los Angeles. The cast features Alanna Panday, along with Alaviaa Jaaferi, Srushti Porey, Alfia Jafry, Aryaana Gandhi, and Hardik Zaveri. On Monday, the streaming platform released a poster revealing the series' launch date.

The Tribe, directed by Omkar Potdar, is set to hit Prime Video on October 4. The platform shared a picture of the cast along with the caption: "They say dare to dream BIG! And this TRIBE did just that." The show is said to revolve around the above-mentioned young influencers aiming for global recognition in LA. The Tribe is produced by Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Aneesha Baig under Dharmatic Entertainment.

Panday, who recently welcomed a baby boy, is a popular influencer with over 1.5M followers on Instagram. Her content primarily revolves around lifestyle. She is also the cousin of Bollywood actor Ananya Panday. Jaaferi, daughter of actor and comedian Javed Jaffrey, has a significant Instagram following. Her social media content ranges from fashion to beauty brands. Porey, a self-proclaimed "lazy Taurus" based in LA, is known for her love of beaches as evident from her Instagram feed.
Other cast members
Jafry, daughter of Indian filmmaker Rumi Jaffery, made headlines in 2021 when she married businessman Amir Mohammad Haq. Her star-studded wedding was attended by celebrities like Neetu Kapoor, Satish Kaushik, Javed Akhtar, and Shabana Azmi. Gandhi is an Indian-born musician who moved from Mumbai to LA in 2019. She gained popularity among Gen Z audiences with the release of her first single Stockholm Syndrome with US rapper O.T. Genasis. Zaveri—the founder of CollabTribe—is also part of the cast.
