Karan on 'Race 3' vs 'Lust Stories': Not challenging Salman
This Eid, there is going to be an indirect clash between 'Race 3' and 'Lust Stories'. While Salman's film is all set to storm the box office, 'Lust Stories' will premiere on Netflix. Talking about the same, Karan Johar has said that the makers of 'Lust Stories' have no right to compete with Salman's magnitude. Here's more on what he said.
"We don't have the ability to fight Salman"
Karan, who has directed one of the four short films from 'Lust Stories', said, "We are actually very happy four filmmakers who have made a tiny little film for which we are grateful to Netflix. We don't have right to compete with the magnitude of Salman." "I probably will go to watch 'Race 3' instead of 'Lust Stories' on June 15," he added.
'Lust Stories' is a compilation of four short films
'Lust Stories' is the second venture from the team of 'Bombay Talkies' - Karan, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee. It is a compilation of four short stories helmed by the star directors. Actors such as Radhika Apte, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Kiara Advani will be in Netflix's second Indian original film.
All the four stories revolve around a similar theme
"We all know the film is called 'Lust Stories' so it is about love and lust. We all decided on this theme together and thought that all directors would have an individual interpretation of love and lust," said Karan.
