If reports are to be believed, he will be back with the second season of 'The Kapil Sharma Show'
Kapil took a sabbatical from TV in August; his spokesperson had revealed that he would join back only when he recovers completely.

Kapil had landed in multiple controversies during 'The Kapil Sharma Show', be it his infamous fight with co-actor Sunil Grover or his unavoidable habit of making guests wait for hours. Controversies have never shied away from enveloping Kapil.
Out all the debacles, Grover's ouster from the show had hit him real hard. The TRPs went down drastically and the show had to end abruptly.

What to expect from this new season?
Kapil Sharma is absolutely unimaginable without his old cast which includes Kiku Sharda, Ali Asgar, Sumona Chakravarti and most importantly, Sunil Grover. One way or the other, he should definitely get them onboard.
The script is another important factor that needs to change in the show. It appears more like a celeb chat-show with pretty sluggish jokes
