Kapil Sharma reveals the real reason behind success of 'TKSS'
When Kapil Sharma took a sabbatical over a year ago, his fans were heartbroken. While many termed it as the end of his career, he rose from the ashes and made a comeback with The Kapil Sharma Show. The TRP ratings of TKSS bear testimony to Kapil's success. And now Kapil has opened up on TKSS success and credited it to his fans.
We made a comeback because of audience's love: Kapil
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kapil spoke about his return on the small screen and said that it happened only because of the audience's love. "We are not competing with anyone. The only pressure we have is about being able to provide the audience with the same kind of entertainment that we have been for the past few years," Kapil told the daily.
People love Kapil for his entertainment quotient
Kapil added that TKSS became a hit among the audience only because of the entertainment they offered. He also stated that his team was working hard for the same. "I think people love us because we have tried our level best to make them laugh and we will continue to do so. My team has been working relentlessly for the same," Kapil added.
Kapil calls Ginni his lucky charm
Notably, Kapil's wife Ginni Chatrath also played a key role in his comeback. Expressing his gratitude towards her, Kapil said she is his lucky charm. "There are so many responsibilities on both professional and personal front which now Ginni takes care of, so I don't have to worry so much," he emphasized. Notably, Kapil and Ginni got married in December last year.
Reuniting with Krushna and Bharti has been great for Kapil
Interestingly, TKSS also marked Kapil's reunion with his old friend Bharti Singh and former arch-rival Krushna Abhishek. Undoubtedly, Kapil was ecstatic to work with both of them again. "Krushna and I did almost six seasons of Comedy Circus together so obviously I am feeling very good about working with him again. Bharti is like my sister, we grew up together," the comedian mentioned.
Never hit Sunil with shoe, Kapil clarified
Meanwhile, Kapil also cleared the air about his infamous fight with co-star Sunil Grover. He asserted that while they had a misunderstanding, he didn't manhandle Sunil. "People said I hit him with a shoe, some said I got angry because my team ate before me. Do you think I am like that? All of this was cooked up," Kapil clarified.
