The trailer for Kanguva, which translates to "fire" in Tamil, teases a gripping story unfolding across two timelines. It presents the lead hero Suriya as a warrior from a clan in the past timeline, while the present-day sequences featuring a stylish Suriya are yet to be revealed. The trailer also hints at a conflict between two leaders of warring tribes, portrayed by Suriya and Deol.

'Kanguva' trailer garners positive response
The trailer for Kanguva has been well-received, with intriguing captions like "Primal Courage," "Raw Rage," and "Bring out your tribal instincts" enhancing its appeal. The trailer's score was composed by National Award-winning composer Devi Sri Prasad, who also delivered a hit with the film's Fire Song. Reportedly, Kanguva was made on a budget exceeding ₹350cr, making it one of the costliest films of 2024. The film features one of the largest war sequences involving over 10,000 people.
'Kanguva' to release in 3D and IMAX formats
In addition to Suriya, Patani, and Deol, Kanguva also features Jagapathy Babu, Natty Natarajan, KS Ravikumar, and Kovai Sarala in key roles. The film is set to be released in 3D and IMAX formats in nearly two dozen languages. To note, Suriya, who is also awaiting the release of another film tentatively titled Suriya 44, will be seen in seven different roles in Kanguva.
