When she takes up a role, Kangana Ranaut leaves no stone unturned to get into the skin of the character. In case you doubt it, know that the actor had gained as much as 20 kilos for portraying late actor and politician Jayalalithaa for her upcoming movie Thalaivi. However, she will now lose all that weight in just the next two months.

Kangana to lose weight for 'Dhaakad' and 'Tejas'

Kangana recently completed one leg of shooting for Thalaivi, and is all set to move to the sets of her other movies, i.e., Dhaakad and Tejas. But the catch is that Kangana's roles in these movies require the actor to lose those 20 kilos in not more than two months. The actor revealed the details in a video posted by her team on Instagram.

Kangana revealed she currently weighs over 70 kilos

In the video, posted Wednesday, Kangana introduces us to her trainer and reveals that she weighed 52 kilos before Thalaivi shoot, guessing that she must have gained 10 kilos in the process, while her trainer guesses that she must have gained "not less than 15 (kilos)". However, as the actor steps on weighing machine, it reads 70.3, implying a weight gain of 18 kilos.

Let's see if Kangana can shed that weight, Rangoli teased

Last night, Kangana's sister Rangoli Chandel also took to Twitter to share several pictures of Kangana, stating that she will have to lose 20 kilos before starting further shoots. She teased fans, writing, "Only last schedule to go for Thalaivi. Kangana has gained 20 kgs weight, After 2 months she starts Tejas and Dhaakad. Will she be able to shed that weight, let's see."

A bit about Kangana's upcoming movies

Thalaivi, a multi-lingual movie, is planned to hit the theaters on June 26. Further, Dhaakad is an action movie directed by Razneesh Ghai. It will release around Diwali, this year. The actor will then be seen essaying the role of an Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot in military-drama Tejas, which is slated to go on floors this summer and release in April, next year.
