Kangana now takes a jibe at award shows, gets reprimanded
If you thought Aamir is the only actor who is against award shows, you are wrong as now Kangana Ranaut has also joined the bandwagon. In a session with film critics, Anupama Chopra and Rajeev Masand, Kangana revealed her experiences with award functions, before she decided to boycott all of them in 2014. Kangana shared her ordeal with award shows
Kangana narrated how she had been refused an award because she was stuck in traffic and could not show up at the event on time. Sharing the anecdote, she said, "I got stuck in traffic. I started getting calls asking 'where are you'. The hysteria and panic that I experienced, I didn't make it and Soha got it for Rang De Basanti," she said.
Whereas, Filmfare editor has a different story to tell
Sharing another story, Kangana said, "I was in the United States for my screenwriting course when I got a call from Filmfare in 2014. They told me I was going to get an award for Krrish 3 but then they gave it to someone else." Refuting her claims, the Filmfare editor wrote, "Is she hallucinating? I've never had a conversation with her about Krrish."
Earlier, Kangana revealed that controversies are hampering her earnings
From taking jibes at Hrithik to sparking off the nepotism debate on Karan's show, Kangana managed to gather a lot of limelight and that too for all the wrong reasons.
