Kangana Ranaut's much-discussed political drama, Emergency, has made its digital debut on Netflix on March 14.
The film, which delves into the controversial 1975 Emergency period in India, was initially scheduled for an OTT release on March 17.
However, Netflix announced an earlier release, stating, "The gripping story of power and peril. Watch Emergency, now on Netflix."

Produced under the banner of Manikarnika Films and Zee Studios, Emergency saw several roadblocks before it was released in theaters.
The film, released on January 17, was first marred by protests and issues with the CBFC.
However, despite these challenges, it now has a home on Netflix for everyone to discover the controversial chapter from Indian history.

Emergency features an ensemble star cast headlined by Ranaut, Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, and the late Satish Kaushik.
The film has a runtime of 146 minutes and was reportedly produced on a budget of ₹60 crore.
