I was the lone target in Bollywood: Kangana
Kangana has been controversy's favorite child, be it her nepotism debate, her infamous battle with Roshans or her conflict with Sonu Sood during Manikarnika's shooting. The actress felt like a "lone target" in the industry who was being deliberately sidelined by industry's big shots. "The industry was having these intense meetings to make sure I was put in my place," she added.
KJo is flagbearer of nepotism: Kangana
To recall, the infamous nepotism debate started during Koffee With Karan 5, after Kangana called KJo the flagbearer of nepotism. The actress, being her unabashed self, made fiery statements and called him out for being the movie mafia and promoting nepotism in the industry. "He believes in bloodlines, dynasty and such talents worked for him," Kangana had stated during one of her interviews, later.
Kangana talks about her fight with Hrithik, once again
Kangana also revisited her feud with Hrithik which presented her as the Khalnayika of Bollywood in 2016. It started after Kangana called Hrithik her 'ex'. Things took a legal turn when he slapped her with a defamation course, followed by the mudslinging. Talking about it, Kangana said, "Rakesh Roshan continued to say he would 'reveal' something. However, all of this didn't go anywhere".
Kangana felt "suffocated" due to constant criticism
It was certainly a tough phase for Kangana and she admitted being disheartened at one point. "Probably that was the only phase when I felt suffocated. It makes me feel suffocated even now when I think about it," she added. But Kangana continued to stand for things she believed in and thanked her fans for their unconditional support.
Kangana identifies herself with Rani Lakshmibai
On the work front, Kangana is all praises for Manikarnika and feels that it's a story that needs to be told. She further stated that she is proud to portray Rani Lakshmibai on screen and can relate to her 'never give up' persona. "I do identify with her spirit. And that is perhaps what I have tried to convey," Kangana was quoted as saying.
