CDR case: Kangana under scanner for allegedly spying on Hrithik
The Call Data Records (CDR) case is getting murkier by the day. The Mumbai Police have already arrested high-profile lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui for acquiring Nawazuddin Siddiqui's wife call details illegally. Now, two more celebrities have come under the scanner in the controversy, namely, Kangana Ranaut and Jackie Shroff's wife Ayesha Shroff. Here's more.
Kangana had messaged Hrithik Roshan's number to Rizwan
In their investigation, the Thane crime branch discovered that Kangana had given Hrithik Roshan's mobile number to Rizwan, who is representing her in the legal battle against the 'Kaabil' actor. Whether Hrithik's call details were unethically acquired is still to be determined. The cops are looking into the matter. Both the stars have been involved in an ugly public spat for a while now.
Here's what DCP Abhishek Trimukhe from Thane crime branch said
"We are currently investigating the matter after finding out that Kangana had sent Hrithik's number to Rizwan. We are waiting for the details and if Hrithik's CDR has been illegally procured we will probe further," DCP Abhishek said.
Ayesha Shroff accused of illegally procuring Sahil Khan's call data
In another development, Ayesha Shroff will soon be summoned for fetching the call records of actor Sahil Khan. Both of them have been in a long-standing dispute. Ayesha had alleged that Sahil was her former business partner and duped her of Rs. 8 crore while Sahil had said that they were dating each other and he spent the mentioned amount on her.
The CDR racket was busted in January
It was on 24 January this year that the Police nabbed several private detectives who were involved in the illegal procurement and sale of CDRs of individuals. The arrested accused informed the Police that Rizwan had extracted Nawaz's wife's call details from them. The cops then issued a summon to the actor, his wife and later arrested the lawyer.
