'Lock Upp' trailer: Kangana Ranaut is jailer of 'badass jail'
Bollywood actor-director Kangana Ranaut's digital debut is inching close with the premiere date of the reality show Lock Upp right around the corner. And before that, makers have dropped a trailer for the show. In a jailer avatar, Ranaut introduces the concept of the special lock up in the trailer clip. It will stream on ALTBalaji and MX Player on February 27.
'India's most controversial celebrities' would be invited to this game
Donning a bedazzling golden jumpsuit, Ranaut oozes menacing vibes as she tells the reality show is staged in such a setting wherein the contestants will have to struggle for every basic necessity. Given the participants are "India's most controversial celebrities," they would also have to miss out on their high-class maintenance during their Lock Upp stay.

We don't see contestants' faces but these celebrities might come
Even though the premiere date is so close, producer Ekta Kapoor is holding the contestants' names close to her. But we do have our bets on certain celebrities. The entries could be actors Poonam Pandey, Shweta Tiwari, Anushka Sen, and Sushmita Sen's former boyfriend-model Rohman Shawl. Names like Aditya Singh Rajput, Harsh Beniwal, Urfi Javed, Manav Gohil, Baseer Ali, have also been speculated.
16 contestants will be monitored 24x7 here
The 1.26-minute-long clip shows that the contestants would live in jail-lookalike cells, even getting handcuffed on occasions. It slips into borderline creepy when we see the visuals of women disrobing and showering while Ranaut's voice-over says: "Some of these celebrities have the habit of living 'openly.' Now, they will be uncovered in front of everyone." Sixteen contestants will be monitored 24x7 here.
Netizens did not seem impressed with trailer though
While fans of the Manikarnika actor were seen celebrating the launch of the trailer, others weren't impressed. The concept of putting celebrities under one roof in 24x7 surveillance seemed quite similar to Bigg Boss to many netizens. Others claimed the show will simply create headlines with Ranaut's controversial remarks and opinions. Recently, the actor had pulled a similar feat by bashing Deepika Padukone's Gehraiyaan.
