'I can't do item numbers,' says Ranaut
Ranaut told Navbharat Times, "Aap dekh lijiye mujhe Sanjay Leela Bhansali ne bhi Ram Leela film jo hai usme item number ke liye bulaya. Sab logo ne mujhe bola yeh paagal hai, Bhansali ko mana kar rahi. I said main nahi kar sakti. (Sanjay had also called me for an item number in Ram-Leela. Everyone told me I was crazy to refuse Bhansali. I said I can't do it. Whether it's Bhansali or anyone else, I can't do item numbers."
Ranaut's revelation went viral on Reddit

The song, titled Ram Chahe Leela, was a hit and Chopra Jonas's performance was widely praised. Some users also speculated whether Ranaut implied that Chopra Jonas lacked "integrity" for doing the song.
Ranaut previously revealed rejecting 'Sanju,' films with Khans
In the past, Ranaut has made several revelations about rejecting high-profile film projects. She claimed that Ranbir Kapoor had approached her for a role in the 2018 biopic Sanju, which she turned down. She also said that she rejected films with all three Khans—Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan—because she felt they wouldn't offer good roles for women. Ranaut revealed that she turned down endorsement deals worth ₹10-15cr because they promoted fairness creams, which she considers racist.
