Kangana Ranaut calls out Kunal Kamra's joke as disrespectful
What's the story
Actor Kangana Ranaut commented on comedian Kunal Kamra for his recent joke on Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde.
Speaking to ANI, Ranaut said, "Aap koi bhi ho, kisi ka apmaan karna... ek insaan ke liye uski izzat hi sab kuch hai chahein aap Sarkar dekhiye ya satta dekhiye (You can be anybody but insulting someone...respect is everything for a person, no matter where you look)."
"You're insulting someone in the name of comedy."
Defense
Ranaut defended Shinde's achievements and questioned Kamra's credentials
Further defending Shinde's past, Ranaut said, "Shinde ji kabhi kisi zamane me rickshaw chalaya karte the. Aaj vo apne dum par itna aage aye hain."
She also questioned Kamra's credentials, "Ye kaun hai? Inke khud ke kya credentials hain? Kaun hai ye log jo khud zindagi me kar nahi paye."
Ranaut ended her statement by saying if Kamra has it in him to write, he should do it in literature and not cheap humor.

Demolition
Ranaut also addressed demolition of her office
Further, Ranaut spoke about the demolition of her office in Mumbai. She denied any comparison between that and the demolition of Habitat, where Kamra's set was filmed.
"I don't think there is any connection between Kunal's joke and my office demolition." She added that while destroying her office was "completely illegal," what happened at Habitat was per legal proceedings.
To note, shortly after Kamra's set went viral, Shiv Sainiks vandalized the studio, after which BMC demolished an an unauthorized portion.
