In January'19, Kangana and Hrithik will clash at box-office
Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan's affair (if one can call it that) has already consumed a lot of time of Bollywood journalists. Now things in an entertainment newsroom are bound to heat up, as Kangana and Hrithik have chosen the same date for the release of their movies. According to reports, 'Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi' and 'Super 30' will release on January 25, 2019.
Kangana took the royal route with 'Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi'
As it is now widely known, Kangana Ranaut is essaying the role of Rani Laxmibai in this movie directed by Krish. The movie was earlier rumored to release with Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth starrer '2.0', but the makers rescheduled the date, probably to cash in on Republic Day fervor. Apart from Kangana, the movie also stars Ankita Lokhande of 'Pavitra Rishta' fame.
Interestingly, Hrithik's movie is also a biopic
In 'Super 30', directed by Vikas Bahl, Hrithik Roshan plays the role of mathematician and teacher Anand Kumar from Bihar. Kumar teaches 30 underprivileged students and prepares them for IIT-JEE examination. This batch of his is called 'Super 30'. Earlier, 'Super 30' was slated for release in November this year, but then dates were reshuffled.
Further, these two movies will face challenge from Nawazuddin Siddiqui
'Thackeray' that features Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the role of Shiv Sena patriarch Bal Thackeray will release on January 23. This means the audiences will have three biopics to choose from, each having a unique colorful story. Which one will earn maximum money, only time will tell.
Hrithik and Kangana clashing at box office is a big-deal
The Hrithik Roshan-Kangana Ranaut episode will go down in the history of Bollywood as one of the most controversial ones. The actress alleged Roshan stalked and harassed her, but he maintained it was an imposter troubling her and he had nothing to do with it. Mud-slinging happened and the matter was taken to courts. The clash just might make things worse.
