Kangana Ranaut meets Prakash Javadekar; discusses discrimination against 'outsiders'
Kangana Ranaut, who is known for voicing her opinions on multiple topics including nepotism and discrimination against outsiders in Bollywood, met Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday. The actress was in Delhi to shoot for a movie when she met the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader. She posted about the meeting on social media. Here's more on this.

The actress shared the photos on social media with the caption, "Today after the shoot got an opportunity to meet Honorable Minister Shri @PrakashJavdekar ji, discussed various issues especially discrimination against women and outsiders in the film Industry. Thank you for your compassion, insight, and guidance sir. (sic)" The duo can be seen with a bouquet of flowers in the picture.

Ranaut is shooting for 'Tejas' in Delhi
Ranaut is currently in Delhi as she is shooting her upcoming film Tejas, in which she is essaying the role of an Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot. The film has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala and is directed by Sarvesh Mewara. He has also written the screenplay of the movie. The Queen actor had called Tejas a tribute to the Indian armed forces.
Ranaut has many other projects in the pipeline
Apart from Tejas, Ranaut is also working on other projects, two of which will release this year. Her biopic on the deceased former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, Thalaivi, will release on April 23. She also has Razneesh Ghai's action-thriller Dhaakad, which will hit the theaters in October, in her kitty. The film also stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.
Ranaut's affection toward BJP is not hidden
Ranaut's meeting with Javadekar doesn't come as a surprise, considering how she has been praising the current BJP regime. In one of her recent tweets, she called the governing party a "cult" and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a "rage." When she had locked horns with Shiv Sena last year, Union Home Minister Amit Shah gave her Y-plus security.
Javadekar had supported I-T raids at Taapsee Pannu's properties
While Javadekar exchanged pleasantries with Ranaut, he had harsh words for another Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, who was recently raided by the Income Tax Department. "Probe agencies undertake investigations based on credible information and the matter later goes to courts as well," he had commented.
