Vinod Kambli's wife accuses singer Ankit's father of "inappropriate touch"

Former India cricketer Vinod Kambli and his wife Andrea Hewitt found themselves at the center of a controversy when the latter assaulted a man at a mall in Mumbai.
Hewitt had accused the 59-year-old, who was later identified as singer Ankit Tiwari's father Rajendra Tiwari, of touching her inappropriately.

Here's what transpired
The incident took place when Kambli and Hewitt came to the Inorbit Mall, Malad for a day out on Sunday.
As per reports, Hewitt caught Rajendra brushing his hand against her and hit him with her bag.
Soon, a ruckus was created as Ankit and his brother came in to defend their father and got into a heated argument with Kambli.

Kambli gives an account of the incident
Narrating the incident, Kambli said, "We were at the game zone when my wife caught hold of an old man's hand. He had deliberately brushed his hand against her and when she caught him in the act, he pushed her away."
He further added that Rajendra's sons then tried to attack his wife when she was at the food court.

Presenting his side of the story, Ankit said, "My father had accompanied my daughter to the game zone. He told me he spotted Vinod Kambli there and as he was walking past a woman, he blacked out."
"My father was disoriented after the attack. He couldn't believe he had been punched and was being accused of brushing his hand against a woman," Ankit added.
Development
Both the parties have registered a police complaint
It has been learned that Kambli and Hewitt have registered an FIR against Rajendra, whereas Ankit and his brother have also taken the matter to the cops.
The incident is now being probed by Bangur Nagar police. Their next course of action is expected to be based on the acquired CCTV footage.
