After a less promising start to the week with earnings of just ₹65 lakh on Friday, the film bounced back by earning ₹1.35 crore on Saturday.
Hindi version leads in contributing to 'Kalki 2898 AD's earnings
Early estimates by Sacnilk indicate that the Hindi version of Kalki 2898 AD was the highest contributor to Saturday's collection, bringing in ₹92 lakh. The Telugu version followed with ₹32 lakh. Despite competition from Deadpool & Wolverine at the box office and being in its sixth week of release, Kalki 2898 AD's total earnings have now reached an impressive ₹637.95 crore.
Film aims for fourth spot in highest-grossing Indian films
Kalki 2898 AD is currently competing for the fourth spot of highest-grossing Indian films, aiming to surpass Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan collection of over ₹640 crore. However, with news circulating that Kalki 2898 AD will be available on OTT platforms by the end of the month, fans may opt not to go to theaters. The movie will spawn a sequel, though it does not have a tentative release date yet.
