'Salaam Venky': Kajol, Revathy kickstart shooting for first film together
In October last year, we learned Bollywood actor Kajol will collaborate with ace actor-filmmaker Revathy on a film for the first time. And, on Friday, the film's team kickstarted their first shooting schedule, as per two photos shared by Kajol on social media. The film—previously titled The Last Hurrah—will now be called Salaam Venky. Details about the rest of the cast aren't known yet.
Why does this story matter?
Revathy is well known for her directorial skills. Right from National Film Award-winning Mitr, My Friend to social drama Phir Milenge, all her creations have delivered strong messages with a powerful female character at the center. Kajol, on the other hand, is a powerhouse artist. Barring a few, she has impressed us with most of her performances. So, their collaboration is surely worth it.
