Kader Khan's death came as a big shock for Bollywood lovers. The veteran actor breathed his last on New Year's eve in Canada. He was 81 and died due to prolonged illness. Khan's funeral will be held in a Canadian cemetery today. The actor's last rites will be performed as per Muslim rituals in the presence of his family members. Here are the details.
Son Sarfaraz gets emotional on father's death
Bidding adieu to a loved one is never easy. Khan's family is obviously heartbroken post his demise. The legendary actor is survived by two sons. Talking about his last rites, son Sarfaraz said, "The funeral will be performed in Canada as we have our entire family here. He is going to be buried at approximately 2:30 PM as per Canadian time at Meadowvale Cemetery".
Khan suffered from progressive supranuclear palsy
Khan was battling health issues for a decade now. Reportedly, he was suffering from progressive supranuclear palsy. It is a degenerative disease which causes loss of balance, dementia and a gradual deterioration of health. Sarfaraz also revealed that the veteran actor had undergone knee surgery last year in Canada. Post the surgery, he had trouble walking and was wheelchair ridden.

Khan was one of the most noted artists of Bollywood and his death sent a wave of grief. Several celebrities paid their condolences and penned heartfelt messages for the legendary actor.
