'Seoul Busters' unveils cast and premiere details
Disney+ announced the broadcast plans for its upcoming comedy crime series, Seoul Busters, on Tuesday. The ensemble cast includes Kim Dong-wook, Park Se-wan, Park Ji-hwan, Seo Hyun-woo, and Lee Seung-woo. The series will chart the journey of a low-ranking violent crimes unit's transformation into a top team under a skilled leader's guidance.
Renowned screenwriters behind 'Seoul Busters'
The script for Seoul Busters is penned by acclaimed screenwriters Lee Young-chul and Lee Kwang-jae. Young-chul is recognized for his work on the High Kick series and The Best Hit, while Kwang-jae is known for his contribution to Potato Star 2013QR3. Their combined expertise promises a compelling narrative for the comedy crime drama.
'Seoul busters' characters and their portrayals
Kim will play the role of Dongbang Yoo Bin, the head of Songwon Police Station's Homicide Squad Unit 2. Park is set to portray Seo Min-seo, a powerful figure in the same unit. Ji-hwan will star as Moo Joong-ryeok, a veteran detective with a charming side. Seo and rookie actor Lee will play detectives Jung Jung-hwan and Jang Tan-sik, respectively. While no date has been announced, the K-drama will premiere on Disney+ in September.
