Junaid Khan's dance sequence got chopped from 'Loveyapa': Here's why
What's the story
Junaid Khan, who will be seen alongside Khushi Kapoor in the upcoming film Loveyapa, recently revealed that his dance sequence was cut from the song Rehna Kol.
The decision was taken by ace choreographer Farah Khan after seeing him perform during rehearsals.
Speaking to Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Khan said, "Farah ma'am canceled our dance. When she saw me perform, she decided to keep only Khushi's dance and canceled my part."
Choreographer's feedback
'You won't be able to do it': Farah's feedback
Khan went on to share the feedback he got from Farah.
He quoted her saying, "Tujhse nahi hoga, tu chalke aa. Khushi se dance hoga, tu baithke dekh isko (You won't be able to do it. You walk and come. Khushi can dance, you just sit and watch)."
Further, Khan—who will be making his silver screen debut with Loveyapa—confessed he is a "really bad" dancer but still loves dancing.
Training dedication
Khan's rigorous dance training for debut film 'Maharaj'
Khan also spoke about his rigorous training for a dance sequence in his debut film Maharaj. He rehearsed for 10 weeks, four hours a day, to nail his garba moves.
However, despite his hard work, only wide shots of his performance made it to the final cut.
He jokingly credited his lean look in the film to choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant, "If you look at me in the film, I'm so thin. It's all Vaibhavi ma'am's magic."
