Karan Johar's Dharma Productions partners with Jr NTR for 'Devara'
In exciting news, Dharma Productions, under the leadership of Karan Johar, has announced a new collaboration with South Indian superstar Jr NTR. The partnership is specifically for the North Indian distribution of the highly-anticipated film, Devara: Part 1, which also stars Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor. The announcement was made on social media by Dharma Productions, promising a "mass hurricane" cinematic experience set to hit cinemas on October 10.
Why does this story matter?
This isn't new territory for Dharma Productions as they have previously distributed South Indian hits like SS Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali, Ghazi Attack, and Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 in the north. Meanwhile, the anticipation for Devara is high, especially since Jr NTR hasn't released any films since RRR, which created a buzz by winning Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards.
'A mass hurricane of grandeur entertainment'
Taking to Instagram, Johar posted a photo along with the caption, "A mass hurricane of grandeur entertainment is closer than ever before." "Honoured and extremely grateful to be a part of - Man of Masses Jr NTR's Devara. We are extremely thrilled and proud to announce our partnership for the north theatrical distribution rights for the next big cinematic experience in Indian cinema."
