‘Jojo Rabbit’ is an English comedy-drama film that was released in 2019. The film has been directed by Taika Waititi and adapted from Christine Leunen’s 2008 book titled ‘Caging Skies.’ British actor Roman Griffin Davis plays the central character of Johannes ‘Jojo’ Betzler in the film. Actors Scarlett Johansson, Rebel Wilson, Alfie Allen, Sam Rockwell, and Stephen Merchant play other pivotal characters in the film. Mihai Malaimare Jr. serves as the cinematographer and Tom Eagles serves as the editor in the film. The film’s music has been composed by Michael Giacchino. The film loosely depicts World War II and the aspects of that era. The story of the film revolves around a 10-year-old boy named Jojo Betzler who is a member of the Hitler Youth. He discovers that his mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their house which shakes his foundations. Jojo believes in the ideals of Nazism which has been manifested by his imaginary friend who is a creative version of Adolf Hitler. Jojo must question his beliefs while dealing with Hitler’s intervention. In 2019, the film had its world premiere at the 44th Toronto International Film Festival where it won the Grolsch People’s Choice Award. ‘Jojo Rabbit’ won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and it was also nominated for Best Picture at the 92nd Academy Awards.
