'John Wick: Chapter 4' trailer promises high-octane action, exhilarating chases
Fan-favorite Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves is all set to wow fans once again in and as John Wick. The film's trailer was unveiled on Thursday night (February 16) and showcases several high-intensity stunts which have become the hallmark of the series over the years. Chad Stahelski has helmed the action-drama film. John Wick: Chapter 4 will premiere theatrically on March 24.
Why does this story matter?
With head-smashing action hero Reeves at its forefront, the popular action franchise has emerged as one of the biggest global blockbuster franchises in the past decade. Its third installment, John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum, which came out in 2019, reportedly grossed $56M on its opening weekend, higher than the previous two chapters. The three films combined have reportedly earned upward of $573M!
Expect a lot of chase sequences, violent action from film
The 1:32-minute-long trailer is dominated by multiple chase sequences, and we see Wick in action on the road, on sky-high rooftops, and in the desert. Everywhere! His showdowns with his nemeses The Marquis de Gramont and The Harbinger also cover major portions of the clip. "The only way John Wick will ever have freedom and peace is in his death," a voiceover tells us.

Will there be an extension of Wick's story?
Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer earlier revealed there will be a fifth John Wick chapter. Per Stahelski, Wick will not "ride off into the f*cking sunset" at the end of the franchise. In a separate interview, he elaborated that they "tried to do something at the end that is emotional." The film has also been described as "the longest and bloodiest John Wick movie yet."
Meet the team that brought the film to life
The film has been distributed by Lionsgate. The fourth installment resumes from where Chapter 3 ended in 2019. The film co-stars a cast ensemble comprising Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgard, Laurence Fishburne, Natalia Tena, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Shamier Anderson, among others. Dan Laustsen (Just Another Love Story) has spearheaded the cinematography, whereas the editing is by Nathan Orloff (10 Cloverfield Lane, Running Free).
