
John Abraham confirms 'banger' collaboration with Rohit Shetty

Bollywood actor John Abraham has finally confirmed his upcoming collaboration with director Rohit Shetty, calling the project a "banger."
Speaking to Pinkvilla, Abraham spoke about the exciting partnership and how he has been in talks with Shetty for a while.
"We've spoken quite often so I hope something very productive comes up really soon. That would be great," he said.
Abraham is currently basking in the success of his political thriller, The Diplomat, which was released on March 14.

Abraham anticipates the film will 'blow people away'
Abraham added, "The subject we're talking about is a banger that'll blow people away."
He stressed that their collaboration's success would depend not only on the two of them but also on the "unbelievable subject."
Per previous reports, the project is a biopic of former Joint Commissioner of Mumbai Police, Rakesh Maria.
The production is likely to begin in the summer of 2025.

Abraham also revealed his method of choosing projects, "I don't mind waiting in the wings until I get something good."
He said he wanted to do something "funny, lighthearted yet interesting," and highlighted the need for a well-written script.
Apart from his Shetty collaboration, Abraham teased possible sequels to his famous comedies Garam Masala or Desi Boyz, both of which featured Akshay Kumar as co-star.

Elaborating on the hit comedies, he said, "We're very excited about making either or both of those films happen because they'll be fun. For me, working with Akshay is like going on a holiday. He's a nice bloke, so we'll have a good time."
His recent release, The Diplomat, is a political thriller directed by Shivam Nair and co-starring Sadia Khateeb.
