Confirming these reports, XYZ Studio, the actor's agency stated, "Jo Bo Ah received an offer to star in Knock Off and is reviewing the offer."

The K-drama series will be directed by Park Hyun-suk, renowned for his work on popular dramas like Forest of Secrets 2, Uncontrollably Fond, and Song of the Bandits. Set against the backdrop of the 1997 foreign exchange crisis, also known as the IMF crisis, it features a lead character involved in this counterfeit market.
