#Sadak2: 'Manikarnika' actor Jisshu Sengupta to play Alia Bhatt's father
Popular Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta, who was seen as Kangana Ranaut's husband, Gangadhar Rao in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, has been roped in for Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2. According to media reports, he will be essaying the role of Alia's father in the movie. The report further stated that the actor is currently shooting his scenes with Alia in Ooty. Here is more.

In a recent interview, the 42-year-old gushed about his on-screen daughter. "Alia's passion for her craft is commendable. Her heart is in her work and she is amongst the finest actors we have in Indian cinema today," he told Mumbai Mirror.
Jisshu has been a part of several Bollywood movies
Notably, Jisshu made his Bollywood debut with 2005 release Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero. He later made a comeback with a guest appearance in Anurag Basu's 2012 release Barfi. Jisshu was further seen in Rani Mukerji's Mardaani (2014), Deepika Padukone's Piku (2014) and recently in Manikarnika. All of his appearances in all these films were well received by the audiences.
With 'Sadak 2', Mahesh returns to direction after two decades
Coming back to Sadak 2, the movie will mark Bhatt's return to direction after two decades. The movie also stars Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Gulshan Grover and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead roles. Interestingly, Pooja will be reuniting with Sanjay after 28 years. Their last movie was Sadak itself. Besides, the Bhatt sisters would also be sharing the screen for the first time.
