JioCinema has finally released the much-awaited trailer for its new web series, Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond. The series stars Jimmy Sheirgill and Lara Dutta in key roles. Promising to deliver a gripping war room drama, it aims to transcend the conventional war narrative. The trailer hints at an intense storyline with high stakes that is expected to enthrall audiences. Directed by Santosh Singh, it is set to premiere on April 25.

The preview opens with the harrowing 2019 Pulwama attacks, depicting CRPF teams under terrorist fire. It then delves into the meticulous planning and execution of a mission to confront and hold accountable the perpetrators for their heinous deeds. Remembering the events that led to the Balakot airstrikes
The 2019 Balakot airstrike, conducted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) on February 26, targeted an alleged terrorist training camp in Balakot, Pakistan. This retaliatory action followed the Pulwama terror attack on February 14, in which a suicide bomber affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed attacked an Indian paramilitary convoy, claiming over 40 lives. The airstrike was aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure in response to the Pulwama tragedy.
'Adrenaline rush kept us going': Sheirgill's insights on his role
In an official statement, Sheirgill revealed intriguing details about his character and described the role as unlike any he has previously portrayed. "I remember a specially difficult schedule when the entire unit worked for 48 hours with no breaks but not a single cast member complained." "We were on no sleep but the adrenaline rush kept us going, and how! It felt like we were right there in the middle of all the action."

Dutta expressed her enthusiasm about her involvement in Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond.
