Adult Sheldon Cooper to appear in 'Young Sheldon' finale!
Jim Parsons, renowned for his role as Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory, has teased the return of his iconic character (the adult version) in the upcoming finale of Young Sheldon. The actor recently shared a TikTok video featuring Iain Armitage, who portrays the younger version of Cooper on the prequel spinoff. In the video, Armitage talks about using a filter that predicts one's adult appearance, as he hands over the phone to Parsons.
Parsons discussed his return on talk shows before
During an interview on the Today show, Parsons delved into his comeback as Cooper. He described the experience of shooting for the finale as "very weird" but "also very beautiful." "(TBBT) was always a live-audience show and Young Sheldon is a single-camera show...and to do it in that situation (the final episode), it was just different enough that it wasn't creepy." He told the NBC Morning show that he was "very grateful that they asked us to do it."
Parsons's journey as Cooper and future plans
Parsons portrayed Cooper throughout all 12 seasons of The Big Bang Theory. He also lent his voice as the narrator for all seven seasons of Young Sheldon. The actor is set to join Mayim Bialik, who played Amy in the original series, in the final episode of Young Sheldon. This much-anticipated episode is scheduled to air on CBS on May 16. However, there's no reason to be sad as a spinoff on Cooper's brother Georgie and Mandy is in development.
