Documentary being made on controversial suicide case of Jiah Khan?
If recent reports are to believed, a British television broadcaster is set to make a documentary on Jiah Khan's suicide case. The team has apparently reached Mumbai. However, other details are being kept under wraps. To recall, Jiah was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her bedroom on June 3, 2013. Her boyfriend, actor Sooraj Pancholi, has been charged with abetting her suicide.
"It's too early to say anything about the documentary"
As per a Mumbai Mirror report, the team has already begun working on the documentary. However, they refused to divulge any other details related to the project. "It's too early for us to say anything about the documentary," said one of the film's coordinators.
Jiah committed suicide in June 2013 at her Mumbai residence
Jiah's death created sensation in the media, and was widely reported in India and also in the UK, where the 25-year-old actress was raised. Her apparent suicide came right after a spat she had with Pancholi, who was subsequently charged with abetment of suicide a week later. He was also arrested on June 11, 2013, but was later granted bail by the High Court.
CBI ruled out the possibility of murder in August 2016
Meanwhile, Jiah's mother Rabia Khan filed a petition in the court seeking transfer of the case to CBI. The case was transferred to CBI in July 2014, and after two years of probe, the investigative body ruled out any possibility of murder. Last year in January, the case got revived when a Mumbai sessions court framed charges against Pancholi for allegedly abetting Jiah's suicide.

The trial began in February, and the case is still in the court. Meanwhile, Pancholi continues to plead not guilty in the case. He even shared a heartfelt note on Instagram last year, saying, "I'm not the monster that has been portrayed in headlines."
Jiah was last seen in Akshay Kumar's 'Housefull'
For the uninitiated, Jiah was born in US in February 1988, and was raised in London. The British-American actress made her debut with Ram Gopal Varma's Nishabd opposite Amitabh Bachchan in 2007. Although the movie tanked at the box office, Jiah's performance was appreciated by the critics. She was last seen in Akshay Kumar's 2010 release Housefull, which became the highest-grossing movie that year.
