Jeremy Allen White bags second consecutive Emmy for 'The Bear'
Jeremy Allen White has clinched his second consecutive Emmy for Lead Comedy Actor. The award, presented on Sunday, recognized his performance as Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto in Season 2 of FX's The Bear. Upon receiving the trophy from presenters Damon Wayans, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and George Lopez, an emotional White expressed his gratitude to the Academy and fellow nominees.
'I want us to be in each other's lives forever'
White extended his thanks to The Bear's creators Christopher Storer and Joanna Calo, as well as his co-stars. "Thank you for choosing me. I am so, so, so lucky. I'm so grateful," he said. He further expressed his deep affection for his castmates, stating, "My beautiful cast, I love you forever...and I want us to be in each other's lives forever."

White also credited The Bear for transforming his life. "Jo, this show has changed my life. It has instilled a faith that change is possible if you are able to reach out," he said during his acceptance speech. "You're really, truly never actually alone. I thank this show." The series, which premiered in 2022, propelled White to A-list status.
White's career trajectory and future projects
Before his breakthrough role in The Bear, White was known for his portrayal of Philip "Lip" Gallagher in Shameless, which aired on Showtime for 11 seasons from 2011 to 2021. In 2023, he appeared as Kerry Von Erich in the biographical drama film The Iron Claw. His upcoming project includes playing Bruce Springsteen in the biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere.
