#YassQueen: JLo breaks internet by wearing just a green cape
On Wednesday night, Jennifer Lopez broke the internet (in a literal and figurative sense) after her almost naked photo for InStyle magazine surfaced. The star of InStyle's December issue, JLo, left little to the imagination as she wore a Valentino cape. The shimmery cape only added to her oomph, as she comfortably accepted her curves. Did we mention she is turning 50 in July?
First off, here's the photo which has created a stir
JLo and green dresses have a history
As soon as the photo was posted, many were reminded of another green dress JLo wore. The superstar attended the 2000 Grammy Awards dressed in a Versace gown, which became the one thing the globe couldn't stop talking about. Cut to 18 years later, and JLo has exuded the same confidence, the same grace, and the same attitude. This woman doesn't age.
Wondering how defying age is possible? JLo has an answer
Mere mortals (which JLo isn't), will say years have hardly made a difference on her. But JLo thinks they have. Speaking to InStyle, she said she might need reading glasses soon and she loses muscles on dancing too much. But the no caffeine, no alcohol rule has paid her well. "I've taken care of myself, and now it shows," she said.
She embraces her curves, but that isn't a conscious decision
Before Kim Kardashian, it was JLo who started the trend of embracing curvy body types, but she insisted it is not something she was conscious about. "In my family, curves were glorified and part of the culture. It was just like, 'Jennifer has a big butt, and it's good'," she said. She added she was just being herself all along.
Unlike earlier, JLo knows she's good at this
"When I first started it was always a matter of 'Am I good? Am I good enough? Do I need to be better? What can I do to be better?' Now I know I'm really good at this. So I just want to do it," she said.
Twitter concludes JLo drinks from fountain-of-youth. Could be possible!
Of course, Twitter was abuzz with reactions after JLo dropped the bomb. Not praising her gorgeousness is absolutely impossible, after all. @RosemaryDonahue tweeted: wow i can't believe j lo just made body curtains a thing (sic). While @GerryCupido wrote: My good god. @JLo been drinking from the fountain of youth. There were others who just used emojis to convey the message because words can't be enough.
