Janhvi Kapoor breaks silence on competition with Sara Ali Khan
It seems to be the year of the newcomers in Bollywood and debutante Janhvi Kapoor says she is excited as an audience to see fresh faces but it is unfortunate that she and Sara Ali Khan have been pitted against each other. Janhvi makes her debut with Shashank Khaitan-directed "Dhadak" tomorrow, while Sara will foray into Bollywood with "Kedarnath" later this year. Here's more.
Janhvi finds Sara stunning
"I've had the pleasure to know Sara. I think she's stunning, she is full of so much life and energy. I'm so much excited to see what she'll bring. So I know she's going to kill it," said the daughter of the late actor Sridevi.
It's not survival of the fittest: Janhvi
Janhvi also revealed that she had often been asked about her "competition" with Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara. "I find it odd. I think it's not a nice thing to put on the young girls in our society. I don't think it's survival of the fittest kind of situation. Co-existing is natural and it should be encouraged amongst young girls, " she said.
Janhvi shares screen space with Ishaan Khattar in 'Dhadak'
"Dhadak" is the Hindi adaptation of critically-acclaimed 2016 Marathi film "Sairat". Janhvi will be paired alongside actor Shahid Kapoor's half-brother Ishaan Khattar. The pair has already received a favorable audience response with its trailer and the best compliment was received from Janhvi's brother Arjun Kapoor.
