Sridevi's daughters Janhvi, Khushi get teary-eyed at 'Dhadak' trailer launch
The trailer launch event of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter starrer 'Dhadak' had many takeaways. It was the first time that media-shy Janhvi interacted with the reporters and gave insights about her debut film. She also shared an emotional moment with sister Khushi Kapoor who broke down and hugged her on the stage.
They certainly missed Sridevi on the special occasion
Janhvi said she wanted to debut with such a film
Janhvi revealed that she had watched 'Sairat' with Sridevi and told her mom that she wanted her first film to be on the lines of the Marathi blockbuster. Little did she know back then that her wish would actually come true as she is now kick-starting her Bollywood journey with the official adaptation of 'Sairat'.
Janhvi shared a tip given by Sridevi
Janhvi said that as an actor she has tried to follow her mother's advice which was to work hard and feel every emotion. "I definitely miss her today," she added.
Here's what Janhvi said about her character in the film
Janhvi is stepping into the shoes of Rinku Rajguru who played the female lead in 'Sairat'. Talking about the same, the 21-year-old said that no one can come close to what Rinku did with her character of Archie, adding that her character Parthavi is very different from the original one. "I have simply tried to play it honestly," Janhvi said.
