Janhvi to make her digital debut with Zoya Akhtar's short-film
Janhvi Kapoor, who has a big line-up of movies like Takht, Kargil Girl, RoohiAfza, has been roped in for Zoya Akhtar's next. However, this will be made for a digital platform, thus marking her digital debut. According to reports, Zoya, like her previous digital series Lust Stories, is planning to make an anthology in horror genre titled Ghost Stories, with Janhvi as lead.

As per a Pinkvilla report, Janhvi "was bowled over by the script." "Janhvi Kapoor is the one who will essay the main protagonist in Zoya's short. Zoya met Janhvi and she was bowled over by the script. It didn't take too much of convincing for Ghost Stories. She has also allotted her dates for it," stated a source. Reportedly, shooting will start soon.
Zoya has script ready, will soon be filming, says source
Notably, this will be the ace filmmaker's first attempt with the horror genre and she is already ready with the script. "Zoya has a script ready and she will soon be filming her short. It's a quirky but really scary story," the source added. Since it is a 30-minute film, the shooting will be wrapped up in around ten days, the media report noted.
Zoya to collaborate with KJo, Banerjee and Kashyap, again
To note, Ghost Stories will be a collection of short films to be helmed by Karan Johar, Zoya, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap. This will be their third collaboration after 2013 release Bombay Talkies and their second digital venture after Lust Stories in 2018.
Currently, Janhvi is shooting for Gunjan Saxena biopic, 'RoohiAfza'
Meanwhile, Janhvi is busy shooting for Hardik Mehta's RoohiAfza opposite Rajkummar Rao, which will release on March 20 next year. She is also working on Gunjan Saxena biopic, tentatively titled Kargil Girl, in which she will be seen donning a uniform. The Dhadak actress is also rumored to be a part of the much-awaited Dostana 2 starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead.
