What's the story

Janhvi Kapoor's highly-awaited political spy-thriller, Ulajh, was released theatrically on Friday (August 2).

Co-starring Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Matthew, the film explores nepotism beyond the cinema industry.

For those eager to catch the film from the comfort of their homes, reports indicate that Ulajh will make its OTT debut on Netflix—the movie's official OTT partner.

The film is projected to hit the streaming platform two months post its theatrical debut.

Storyline details

'Ulajh' plot unveils intrigue and international espionage

The story of Ulajh follows the journey of a young IAS officer, Suhana Bhatia, portrayed by Kapoor. Her credibility is frequently doubted due to her influential surname.

The narrative intensifies as she forms a bond with Nakul Bhatia, a character from the criminal underworld played by Devaiah.

The duo find themselves ensnared in the London embassy amid suspicions of a mole among top officials.

Plot expansion

'Ulajh' expands narrative to include international conflict

Matthew portrays Sebin Joseph Kutty, who accuses Suhana of all wrongdoings.

Following these allegations, Suhana embarks on a personal mission to clear her name.

The film's narrative extends beyond Suhana's story, encompassing a larger conflict between R&AW agents from India and ISI from Pakistan.

The film also stars Adil Hussain as Vanraj Bhatia, Meiyang Chang as Jacob, and Rajesh Tailang as Salim.

Sudhanshu Saria, who previously won a National Award for his short film Knock Knock Knock, directs the movie.
