Can see a glimpse of Sridevi in Janhvi's eyes: Angad
Angad Bedi, who was last seen in Diljit Dosanjh's Soorma, is all set for his next, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, which has Janhvi Kapoor playing the titular character. Talking about his co-star, Angad says that one can see a glimpse of her late mother, Sridevi in Janhvi. "When she performs you can see a glimpse of Sridevi in her eyes," he noted.
Janhvi has "a great lineage of Sridevi," feels Angad
Calling her a "lovely", "hard-working" person, Angad said that Janhvi is always well-prepped for her shot, and has "a great lineage of Sridevi." Adding further, the Pink actor stated that there is a lot to learn from her. He also called the young actress "a star with the millennial audience." "She's a very likable person, and has got humility. She respects people," said Angad.
'Kargil Girl' is based on IAF officer Gunjan Saxena
Notably, this is the first time Angad will be sharing the screen with Janhvi, and will be playing her brother in the film. "Angad plays an army officer, like Gunjan's real-life brother, while Pankaj Tripathi plays their father," a source said. The film, Kargil Girl, is based on IAF officer Gunjan Saxena, who played an important role in evacuating injured soldiers in Kargil war.

Recently, the makers of Kargil Girl shared some posters of the movie on social media, giving glimpses of Gunjan's arduous journey in becoming the first Indian woman in combat. Gunjan Saxena - #TheKargilGirl, releasing on 13th March, 2020," producer Karan Johar wrote on Twitter while unveiling one of the posters.

The movie has been shot in Lucknow and Georgia
Helmed by Sharan Sharma, the movie has been extensively shot in the locales of Lucknow and Georgia. While a major portion was shot in Lucknow's cantonment area, the crew went to Georgia to shoot the scenes revolving around the Kargil war in the movie.
