Italian hotel offers 'Jell-O' dish to 'The Office's Rainn Wilson
When The Office alum Rainn Wilson recently checked into a hotel in Florence, Italy, he wouldn't have expected the treat awaiting him. After ordering room service, he was treated with scrumptious food and a fork and knife inside a Jell-O. The Office fans would remember that this is a callback to a popular prank between Jim (John Krasinski) and Dwight (Wilson).
Wilson shared the moment with his fans on Instagram
Wilson shared the hilarious incident on Instagram earlier this week. Sharing a photo of the neatly laid-out table, he wrote, "This is what happened when I ordered room service at my hotel in Florence." He also tagged the venue, Plaza Hotel Lucchesi. Joining in the fun, Netflix wrote in the comments, "ITALIAN HOTEL ROOM SERVICE IS NOT A JOKE, JIM!"
Take a look at what happened
This is what happens in the original scene
The scene takes place in the pilot episode when Jim hides Dwight's stapler in the Jell-O. An angry Dwight tells Michael (Steve Carell), "Dammit. Jim. He put my stuff in Jell-O again. That's real professional, thanks. This is the third time and it wasn't funny the first two times either, Jim." Jim plays several such pranks on Dwight throughout the show.
