Isabel May to play Neve Campbell's daughter in 'Scream 7'
Hollywood actor Isabel May, known for her work in Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923, will be a part of the cast of Scream 7. She will be portraying the daughter of Neve Campbell's character, Sidney Prescott. The seventh installment of the horror franchise is in production by Spyglass Entertainment and will be released on February 27, 2026.
'Scream 7' to focus on Campbell's character and her daughter
Scream 7 will focus on Campbell and May. This comes after young stars Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera left the franchise. The film is being directed by Kevin Williamson, who wrote Scream, Scream 2, and Scream 4, with a script by Guy Busick. Paramount Pictures will handle the film's theatrical release. The producers are James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein.
'Scream 7' underwent changes following cast and crew departures
The production of Scream 7 has undergone major changes, with Barrera being dropped from the franchise over controversial social media posts about the Israel-Hamas conflict. Ortega had also exited the project earlier due to scheduling conflicts. After their exits, original director Christopher Landon announced his departure from the film. Nonetheless, filmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett have revived the series with their direction of 2022's Scream and last year's Scream VI.
