Is Shah Rukh Khan launching his OTT platform, SRK+?
Last September, Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan had teased about his OTT debut and six months later, we got an update. Taking to his social media handles, Khan posted a photo of his with the text, "SRK+ Coming soon," written on it. The caption read, "Kuch kuch hone wala hai, OTT ki duniya mein. (Something is going to happen in the world of OTT)."

Here's what we know of the venture
Nothing else is known about this project, but if it gets launched, this will be the first streaming platform established by an actor across any industry. However, Khan's production house, Red Chillies Entertainment has not posted anything about this, so let us wait to see if the company will be involved in this venture as well. For now, Khan is busy shooting Pathaan.

Pathaan is being directed by Siddharth Anand and stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. While Khan plays the titular character of a spy, Abraham has been roped in as the main antagonist. Produced by Yash Raj Films, Pathaan makers are targeting a January 25, 2023 outing for the thriller. The date was announced along with a special video featuring Khan, Padukone, and Abraham.
Is Khan collaborating with Disney+ Hotstar?
Notably, while teasing about his OTT debut, Khan had posted a video that had him waving at fans from his balcony, basking in the fact that no other actor can pull such a crowd. However, in the video, his manager points out this might change as all stars, except him, have projects on Disney+ Hotstar. So, is this recent tweet about a Khan-Hotstar collaboration?
Khan returned to social media last month after long hiatus
To recall, Khan had taken a five-month-long social media hiatus after his son Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau last October. After Aryan got a bail, Khan started making brief appearances here and there. In February this year, he returned to Twitter officially, leaving his fans emotional. In his comeback post, Khan shared a clip from an advertisement featuring him.
