Pakistani shoemaker's deer chappals for SRK land him in jail
A Pakistani shoemaker named Jahangir was jailed by Pakistani authorities after his proclamation that he had made sandals from deer skin for actor Shah Rukh Khan. The shoemaker had been approached by Khan's cousin sister Noor Jehan in Peshawar for making two pairs of Peshawari chappals (in Kaptaan Chappal style) to be taken to India with her on her visit.
Fan arrested for hoisting Indian flag over Kohli's victory
Virat Kohli's fan in Pakistan was is facing up to 10 years imprisonment after being arrested for raising the Indian tri-colour at his home in Punjab Province. The fan was celebrating 90 runs scored by Virat Kohli. Police filed a case under section 123-A of Pakistan Penal Code and 16 Maintenance of Public Order against him which could lead to 10 years in jail.
Anupam Kher visa fiasco
Anupam Kher was apparently denied Pakistani visa to attend Karachi literature festival. Kher said that 18 people had applied for the visa and only his visa had been rejected.He said he was "sad and disappointed" and blamed the Pakistani authorities for treating him unjustly; adding that this had transpired because "I am a Kashmiri Pandit". However, the Pakistani authorities had claimed he never applied.
Afridi's pro-India comments land him in controversy
Shahid Afridi had landed in trouble when he had said that "we have always enjoyed playing in India and have been loved by Indian crowds more than crowds back home in Pakistan," before the World Twenty20 tournament in India. Former captain Miandad said Pakistan had gone to play in India but it didn't imply that the professional players should "pander to the hosts".

Pakistan clarifies on the arrest of the shoemaker
While the media was abuzz with news about the Pakistani shoemaker being jailed for making chappals for actor ShahRukh Khan, the Pakistani officials presented the reason for his arrest. Police said that Jahangir was arrested on the complaints of the wildlife department officials. Probe would ascertain if real deer-skin was used is underway as Pakistani wildlife laws prohibit commercial use of deer-skin.
